Studio Visit: SAS Design

A group of us visited SAS Design's studio and they were kind enough to show us around and talk to us.

Main features of the studio included a print team and a digital team which were split into Red print, red digital and blue print and blue digital. Two of these teams would continuously work together because you would rarely get a client who would only like them separate.

They had a technical team in another section of the office. On the basement floor you had a typesetting team (also do other boring things) and an accounts section.


I saw they had a separate area which had random books with a small sofa. I think this is a nice touch to a studio. Most places where you work there wont be a place where you can relax and relieve stress.


One thing that the creative director did say was never be ashamed to try and try. I recall him saying "the squeaky cog gets the job done" .
